Rainfall Warning

Issued at 10:23 Tuesday 31 May 2016

Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

A low pressure system now stalled near Minot has given significant rainfalls over southeastern Saskatchewan. As of 7 a.m. Maryfield had reported 62 mm, and 37 mm at Carnduff as of 8 a.m. As of 10 a.m. 32 mm had fallen at Weyburn and 28 mm at Estevan.

Late this morning, radar shows heavy rain persisting over southeastern Saskatchewan. The rain will gradually diminish throughout the afternoon and evening with a further 10 to 20 mm likely before the system moves out of the area.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
