Freezing rain is expected or occurring. Freezing rain will affect portions of the northwestern grainbelt this morning as a low pressure system moves in from Alberta. Snow or ice pellets may be mixed with the freezing rain at times. Precipitation should either turn to rain or move out of the area by learly afternoon as temperatures rise to above zero values.Details
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Freezing Rain Warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.
