Wind Warning

Issued at 01:15 Sunday 07 February 2016
Summary

Strong wind gusts of near 90 km/h are occurring. A fast moving clipper is producing strong, gusty northwesterly winds in its wake. Currently 70 gusting to 90 km/h winds are occurring in a line from just west of Lloydminster to Swift Current, and are expected to slide southeast to the Assiniboia and Moose Jaw regions. These strong winds may not reach the city of Moose Jaw but will more likely materialize southwest of the city near Chaplin and Briercrest. Winds are expected to diminish overnight. Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to storm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #SKStorm.
