Snow Squall Warning

Issued at 06:20 Sunday 07 February 2016
Summary

Brief, intense snowfall is expected. Visibilities will be rapidly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow. A line of snowsqualls will affect the Eastern Townships early this morning. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Snow squall warnings are issued when bands of snow form that produce intense accumulating snow or near zero visibilities. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to tempsviolent.quebec@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #meteoqc.
