Watch out, New York: There's a new breed of cockroach in town and it doesn't mind the snow.
Snow Squall WarningIssued at 6:04 AM EST Tuesday 10 December 2013
The visibilities will be strongly reduced in snowsqualls this morning.Details
A vigorous cold front will sweep the province of Quebec this morning which will be favourable to the development of snowsqualls on its way. Behind it a cold and unstable air mass will move into all the regions. The passage of this cold air over the relatively warmer water of the St Lawrence Estuary will be favourable to the development of snowsqualls along the Gaspésie north shore and over the Anticosti Island. These localized snowfalls are accompanied by blowing snow reducing strongly the visibilities. Finally, an Arctic air mass will move into Northwestern Quebec tonight. This icy air combined with moderate winds will be favourable to the development of an extreme wind chill over the Waskaganish area late tonight and Wednesday morning.
