Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected or occurring in some locations. The storm moving slowly toward the Maritimes will give strong winds and blowing snow along the St Lawrence River. The winds will intensify gradually today. Visibilities between Quebec and Matane will be greatly variable in blowing snow today and tonight. The visibilities could be zero where the snow will be the heavier. Areas of Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, Anticosti and the Lower North Shore will be affected overnight and Wednesday.Details
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. Weather Advisories for blowing snow are issued when winds are expected to create blowing snow giving poor visibility to 800 metres or less for at least 3 hours.
