Blowing Snow WarningIssued at 11:43 AM EDT Wednesday 12 March 2014
Strong winds combined with snow will give blowing snow. Visibilities will be strongly reduced upstream from Quebec City today. The blowing snow will reach regions further east tonight.Details
A low pressure system will intensify south of the Great Lakes today and reach the Maritimes Thursday. The snow associated with this system is already falling near the American Border and it will move into Southern and Central Quebec this afternoon. It will then spread toward the Gaspé Peninsula tonight. Northeasterly gusts of 60 to 100 km/h combined with snow will cause blowing snow and greatly reduced visibilities. Thursday morning, the storm will move into the Lower North Shore while conditions will improve over Quebec City and regions further west. Plan your travels and consult road conditions before leaving.
