An extended period of rain is expected over the next few days.

Total rainfall amounts: up to nearly 40 mm.

Time span: from this afternoon or this evening, depending on the location, until Saturday morning.

Significant ponding of water on roads and inland may occur.

Please note that fog will accompany the rain. Fog will be especially persistent over the Gulf and the Estuary. Visibilities will be reduced to zero locally in the fog and rain.

Meanwhile, rain is expected to change over to heavy snow overnight Friday night over the western part of the Parc de la Gaspésie, over the Sainte-Anne-des-Monts area, and toward the Amqui and Rimouski/Mont-Joli regions. This snow may continue until Saturday evening.
Snowfall amounts in excess of 15 to 25 cm are possible.

Significant amounts of snow may accumulate on roads. Visibilities may be reduced to near zero in the snow.
