Winter Storm WarningIssued at 8:20 PM EDT Thursday 13 March 2014
Eastern Quebec should receive a total of 15 to 30 cm of snow. Strong winds are greatly reducing visibilities in blowing snow.Details
The storm still affecting Eastern Quebec is now tracking toward Newfoundland. Conditions will gradually improve from west to east tonight. A low pressure system over Manitoba will reach the Great Lakes Friday, then Quebec City on Saturday morning. Regions near the low pressure centre will see snowfall amounts in excess of 15 centimetres. Plan your travels and check road conditions before heading out. Meanwhile, very cold temperatures combined with moderate winds will generate wind chill values near -39 tonight over the Manicouagan region.
