Frost Advisory

Issued at 5:12 a.m. EDT Thursday 18 September 2014
Summary

An Arctic high pressure system has settled over Northwestern Ontario along with generally clear skies and light winds. As a result, temperatures have dropped down to near or several degrees below freezing in many areas. Temperatures are expected to modify upward this morning and stay above the freezing mark for most regions Thursday night and Friday morning. The only exception will be Northeastern Ontario where a frost advisory will likely be issued once again for Thursday night.

Details

Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required, so stay tuned to your local media or Weatheradio. Email reports of severe weather to storm.ontario@ec.gc.ca or tweet with the hashtag #ONStorm.
