Snow Squall Watch

Issued at 18:20 Tuesday 09 February 2016
Summary

Snow squalls are expected to develop tonight. Snow squalls are forecast to develop tonight and persist into Wednesday. Under the snow squall bands, visibilities may be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow and local blowing snow. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm per 12 hours will be possible. Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to storm.ontario@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #ONStorm.
