Snow squalls from the westerly winds over Lake Superior will persist today and likely into tonight. Local 10 to 15 cm snow accumulations per 12 hours are expected today and tonight. The snow squalls may shift southward and reach the Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island region by tonight. Local near zero visibility in snow and blowing snow will continue to make travel hazardous.
