Just in time for the holidays and holiday shopping, more snow is on the way for eastern Canada this weekend. A white Christmas isn't seeming too farfetched either.
Snow Squall WarningIssued at 12:31 AM EST Wednesday 11 December 2013
Snow squalls today to Friday morning. Strong winds over the open waters of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay are generating flurries and snow squalls. The heaviest snow squalls are coming onshore over Parry Sound - Muskoka and are expected to shift southward this afternoon. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm per 12 hours are possible in the heaviest snow squalls. Low to nil visibilities in snow and blowing snow will make for hazardous driving conditions. This is a multi-day event in which snow squalls are expected to shift but will affect the warned areas into Friday morning. Total local snowfall amounts up to 50 cm or greater may be reached by Friday morning.Details
