Fog Advisory

Issued at 06:09 Tuesday 24 May 2016

Persistent fog with visibility near zero is expected or occurring.

Areas of fog over southern coastal Newfoundland are forecast to become widespread tonight as a south to southeasterly flow brings increasingly humid air towards the Island. The fog will likely persist through Wednesday and Wednesday night, followed by a gradual improving trend on Thursday as a drier air mass begins to approach Newfoundland.

Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero.

Fog advisories are issued when near zero visibilities in fog are expected or occurring.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to weatherNLWO@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #NLwx.
