Summary

Rain, heavy at times continues. An intense low pressure system will continue to track northward across western Quebec this afternoon. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 millimetres have already been reported in northern New Brunswick. In southern New Brunswick, rainfall amounts of 30 to 60 millimetres have been reported, and additional amounts of 5 to 10 millimetres are in the forecast in the east early this evening.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.
