Freezing Rain Warning

Issued at 04:26 Friday 12 February 2016
Summary

Freezing rain is expected or occurring. Freezing rain will develop late this afternoon ahead of a warm front moving into west-central Alberta. Freezing rain mixed with snow will persist until late evening. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to storm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #ABStorm.
