Freezing Rain Warning

Summary

A warm front from Ontario will bring an area of snow overnight tonight to Western Quebec. The snow will change to freezing rain Thursday morning as the warm front approaches, then change to rain Thursday afternoon. A few hours of freezing rain and 3 to 5 millimetres of precipitations are expected over the warned areas.The freezing rain area could move toward Central Quebec later Thursday. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Freezing Rain Warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.
