A low pressure system over the Quebec north shore will move over Labrador today and spread snow over all areas. As the low slowly moves into the Labrador Sea on Monday the snow will taper to flurries for most areas except north of Groswater Bay where snow and blowing snow will persist. For central areas of Labrador: total snowfall amounts of 20 centimetres are expected by tonight with a couple centimetres of additional accumulation on Monday. For areas along the Strait of Belle Isle: total snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 centimetres are expected by Monday. The heaviest snow will likely occur today, however winds are expected to be strongest on Monday, with gusts to 80 km/h causing poor visibilities in blowing snow. For areas north of Groswater Bay: snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 centimetres will combine with winds gusting to 70 km/h to reduce visibilities in blowing snow today and Monday.
