Severe Thunderstorm Watch

Issued at 23:13 Monday 27 July 2015

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Warm and humid air remains in place in southwestern Manitoba once again today. As a low pressure system and accompanying warm front approach from the south, thunderstorms have developed this evening and are expected to persist into the overnight. Some of these thunderstorms may become severe and persist into the overnight. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Be prepared for severe weather. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. To report severe weather, send an email to or tweet reports to #MBStorm.
