Snowfall, with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected. Heavy snow has begun pushing into western Alberta and will continue to spread southeastward today and overnight tonight. The heaviest snowfall is expected to fall along a line from Grande Cache to Red Deer with 10 to 20 cm of snow possible by Saturday morning. Conditions will gradually improve from the northwest on Saturday as the system moves further to the southeast.Details
Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Snowfall Warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
