Snowfall WarningIssued at 6:17 p.m. MST Friday 28 November 2014
Several intense bands of snow are moving through southern Alberta and are slowly moving southward. The heaviest band is currently located from Okotoks through Calgary extending northeastwards towards Drumheller. Visibilities will be rapidly reduced due to heavy snow combined with blowing snow. Total accumulations are forecast to be between 10 and 15 cm, however these amounts will be in localized areas.Details
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please continue to monitor your local media or Weatheradio for further updates. If you would like to report severe weather, you can call 1-800-239-0484 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet reports to #ABStorm.
